BUSINESS REALITY CHECK

A clear-eyed diagnostic before you spend big money, take on debt, or chase the wrong fix.

Who This Is For

For business owners who feel stuck, are considering funding or major spend, or suspect they may be solving the wrong problem and want an independent, commercially grounded perspective.

MOST BUSINESS PROBLEMS ARE NOT FUNDING PROBLEMS

Before moving into finance, I was a business broker and spent years inside hundreds of other people’s businesses.

I saw firsthand how often business owners chased the wrong fix. More loans, more marketing, more employees, more tech, more AI, more mindset shifts, more hype, or more consulting .. when the real issue, and the lowest-hanging fix was something else altogether.

One franchise operator kept taking on loans to test new ideas, putting his personal assets at risk each time.

When we stepped back and looked at the bigger picture, the better option wasn’t more debt. It was to leverage his industry reputation and bring in investors he already knew to back his ideas. He found investors, kept his profit share, avoided more risk, and protected his family’s finances.  It was a game-changer.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of meeting remarkable business owners who are experts and mentors in their own fields. I draw on their wisdom and experience in every consultation, bringing practical insights and perspectives to help you see your business more clearly.

When I conduct a Business Reality Check (BRC), you benefit from practical experience that makes sense for you.  I don't engage in abstract theories that don't move the needle.

My mission is to help business owners identify the shortest path to their objectives before they take on very costly consultants, unnecessary actions, or debt.

WHAT A BUSINESS REALITY CHECK (BRC) IS

A clear-eyed diagnostic before you spend money, take on debt, or chase the wrong fix.

The Business Reality Check is a private, one-on-one conversation with our Principal, designed to help you step back and look at your business clearly without hype or pressure.

There are no sales tactics or selling.  It’s about understanding what’s actually going on beneath the surface, what’s being missed, and what the real issue that’s holding your business back.

Sometimes, that leads to funding.  Sometimes, it's something else.

Occasionally, it sparks an epiphany that becomes a game-changer

More often, it could save business owners from spending a princely sum on the wrong solutions or advisors.

What This Session Is. And Isn’t.

This is not a pitch or a disguised sales call.  This is a focused conversation designed to uncover what’s really holding your business back before you spend serious money, take on debt, or pursue fixes that don’t address the core problem.

We'll work through

  • What the true problem likely is

  • What matters now versus what can wait

  • What your most practical next step should be

  • Whether funding or a different path should even be on the table
